Congrats, it's your birthday | Mojo Monday

Masculine cards are tough for me, how about you?  I'm either designing cards with cute critters or coffee.  So this is as close as it gets:

I work in an office with 17 employees.  We'll be celebrating two February birthdays and I'm the official card maker.  I went through my stash and thought I might be able to pick out two but um,yeah, no.  I just didn't have anything I could squeak by as a masculine design.

I love how the Echo Park Paper - Coffee collection works beautifully for this card.   I teamed it up with a retired (sorry!) Calico Studio stamp set.  I've been setting aside the retired coffee stamp sets that I have.  I'll probably do one big giveaway but this set isn't going into the pile.

My card was inspired by Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday sketch:

Best of Luck | My Favorite Things

Happy Monday!  I'm beyond grateful that I have self motivated kids.  I'll always call them my kids, even when they're in their 40's, for now they are 21 + 23.  This month, the oldest, my girl, started a regular full time position with the Seattle biotech company that she was contracting with.  I literally whipped this up yesterday morning and gave it to her 2 hours later when we met for breakfast (super bonus, she picked up the tab!).

The MFT BB Cute Chemists is a must have for my household.  With both my girl and oldest brother in the scientific field, it's a no-brainer.  The one thing that is a bit tricky is finding appropriate sentiments for them...LOL.

This sentiment is from the retired Adventure is Calling set.  The paper choice, Painted Prints Citrus is based on the company's corporate colors and looks to be retired also.

Love your mug duo | Craftin Desert Divas

I just received Craftin Desert Diva's latest coffee set, Love Your Mug.  I couldn't wait to ink it up so I ended up designing a card duo.

I used the same sketch with both cards, more on that in a smidge.

My first card also features The Perfect Blend 6x6 by Your Next Stamp.  I know that you've been seeing a lot of that paper pad, good thing I bought two of them (wink).

Originally my intention was to cluster both of the images on the same card but didn't like the handles directionally speaking.  So I separated them and use a couple different stencils (I've been enjoying my stencils lately!).

My other card features Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper pad:

The Mouse with the french press totally sold me on the set.  Reminds me of me and the need for step ladders although truthfully I'll do anything to not drag mine out.

My cards were inspired by Fusion Card Challenge, the sketch portion:

January Flavor of the Month Blog Hop | Scrapping for Less

Have you been following all the fun on the Scrapping for Less blog?!  The new January Flavor of the Month Card Kit is now available and you're going to go perky over it!

Here's a bit about the kit from Teresa of Scrapping For Less:

Let’s “Perk Up and Start the New Year” with our January Flavor of the Month kit. I have a little story to tell…I never drank coffee until I retired about 6 years ago from teaching school…cause who wants a cold cup of what is supposed to be hot coffee? So now…with my wonderful flavored creamer, I enjoy a cup of coffee every morning and especially love drinking my coffee while watching crafty videos on YouTube…so sit back and take a look at our Coffee themed FOTM blog hop this month. If you have not already snagged your kit please head over to the Flavor of the Month page and scroll down to choose the level of kit you would like! Make sure you head to the website to check out the rafflecopter as well to enter to win a prize!

You should have arrived here from Desiree's blog.  If not, start at the beginning which is the Scrapping for Less blog!

I had so much fun, check out all the projects I created for this hop:

Seriously, what's not to love about all that caffeinated goodness?!  Let's chat about each of my projects.

First up is Collection One: This one features the Humming Along stamp set by Scrapping for Less.

I absolutely adore that sentiment, so fun + clever.  I combined the Coffee Time paper by Scrapping for Less with a die cut from a Starbucks coffee sleeve.  The sketch is Mojo Monday #359 and you can view it on the Scrapping for Less blog.  What a fun way to show off the gorgeous paper.

Next is Collection Two, featuring Love, Coffee and Donuts paper by Scrapping for Less and Newton's Donut stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs:

I think this is my favorite project out of the batch of cards.  I had fun coloring Newton.  Plaid, I love that plaid!  Do you see that background?  I made it out of bubble wrap.

Collection Three contains Coffee and Friends paper by Scrapping for Less and the Coffee Break Marci stamp set by LaLa Land.

I wasn't originally planning on designing a shaker card but it worked out that way.  Such a fun sequin mix.

Collection Four features Coffee paper by Echo Park and Brew It Anya stamp set by The Greeting Farm:

I snuck in the MFT Sunray stencil that is available in the Scrapping for Less shop.  This Anya is so much fun to color, the possibilities are endless!

Banana Split  contains the Melting Snowman stamp set by Your Next Stamp exclusively made for Scrapping for Less.

I had so much fun with that one.  Do you notice the recurring color combo?  I'm loving that blue and khaki combo.

That's it for me, I want to give a big shout out to Teresa of Scrapping for Less for inviting me!  Next on the hop is my friend Kimberly!

In case you get lost along the way, here's the complete hop listing:

hello | Hello Bluebird

If you're a crafter, you might know how it feels when you finish a card that makes you happy.  Not because it's any special design but the images are just too stinkin' cute, that's this card:

Inking up another highly neglected set, Hello Bluebird's Pig Day.  Oh good grief, their facial expressions are killing me.  I combined a couple of the images from Autumn Gatherings.

The background was created by using the Grassy Knoll Die and the hello from the Gallery Frame Die #1.  The cardstock:  Stampin' Up Cucumber Crush and Reverse Confetti Iced Aqua.  The cardbase is Memory Box.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches:

Love Ya A Latte | Lawn Fawn

So, I should have been organizing but I was whipping up a card.  The Lawn Fawn How You Bean set, I've had it (and the coordinating dies + add on shaker dies) for a while now and haven't busted them out yet.  This organizing thing has me inking up sets that haven't been used yet, it's all good.

I was inspired by a card designed by Kelly Marie Alvarez HERE.  I love how it shows off the Knit Picky 6x6 paper.  I think this might be the first time I used the Lawn Fawn Scallop Rectangles too.

I guess I should make sure you follow my thought process.  No, those aren't chocolate jelly beans but coffee beans.  The test is always to ask a family member, and it passed the test.

The sentiment and coffee mug are from the Thanks a Latte set.

Jolly Good Day! | Newton's Nook Designs

I wanted to ink up the Newton's Nook Designs - Newton Dreams of London.

I don't know about you, but I love seeing all the news about the Royal Family.  Her Majesty the Queen is awesome and a Corgi Lover.  Bonus points that she keeps her holiday decor up until February 6th..I want to adopt that tradition.

So this Newton's Nook Design set was released in 2016.  It's been teamed up with Basic Grey's Wander collection (circa 2010).  I have a handful of Basic Grey's collections and hoard them fiercely.  I'm going through a Crafty Destash and it's a good way for me to use some of my older supplies (or I tell myself it goes in the giveaway pile).

So many fun images with this Newton's Nook Designs set.  Perfect timing since we just saw Mary Poppins Returns.

Espressily for you | Your Next Stamp

Hey happy Tuesday!  I wanted to ink up some of my newest goodies from Your Next Stamp.

I combined the Brew-tiful Day stamps with The Perfect Blend 6x6 paper pad.  I did buy the coordinating dies for the stamp set, they cut the interior of the mug handles (bonus!).

I managed to upcycle a Starbucks coffee sleeve.  Do you spot the Starbucks mermaid?

I was inspired by Your Next Stamps' Fun Friday Challenge.  The challenge is "let's see smiles"...I interpreted it as coffee makes me smile :)

I used the Fusion sketch challenge:

Caffeinated Duo | The Rabbit Hole Designs

I wanted to ink up some of other The Rabbit Hole Designs stamps, check out Caffeinated Cat + Caffeinated Dino:

The Caffeinated Cat has been teamed up with Your Next Stamp's The Perfect Blend paper pad.  Isn't that cat hilarious?!  Wait until her coffee kicks in ---> Super MOM.

The Caffeinated Dino, oh she's cute too, right?  Luckily she's had a recent pedicure.

You might not readily be able to tell but the background has been masked off.  I used Catherine Pooler Inks - All That Jazz + Sugared Lavender for the caffeine symbol and Sand Castle for the STAMPlorations stencil.  The sentiment #deathbeforedecaf has been heat embossed in white on black cardstock.  I should have taken a pic of the interior, I stamped the other sentiment:  I'm a T-Wreck without my caffeine (in Sugared Lavender).

My cards have been inspired by Freshly Made Sketches:

Happy BEE day + SALE | Reverse Confetti

Happy Sunday!  How is your weekend going?  Although I'm not in Phoenix this weekend, I'm keeping busy and have been living vicariously through all the Creativation posts on FB/IG.  I'm still working on building up my Birthday card stash and couldn't wait to ink up the Reverse Confetti Happy Bee Day set.

Although I did ink up all of the images in the Happy Bee Day set, I used all but the one lone bloom.  My colors:

Sunshine + Iced Aqua

I've been gravitating to brighter colors these days, probably in anticipation of spring in the pacific northwest.  We had a sneak peek of it for a couple days in a row last week but now it is kind of dreary and drizzly.

I combined the Diagonal Stitches  + Large Eyelet Cover Panel.

Now is a great time to pick up all your Reverse Confetti wish list items...
