Are you my Mummy?
Can you believe that Tuesday is October 1st?!
We lucked out with the weather over the weekend...it was actually sunny and in the 70's. What a FABulous treat! I certainly didn't plan for that when I dressed for the soccer games on Saturday...I was wearing 2 sweaters!

Sassy Cheer
I'm horribly behind on some cards...actually sympathy ones. They have got to be thee hardest cards to make...I'm non-traditional in certain card making projects. Can you believe that this "Sassy Cheer" card is a sympathy one? Yes, it is nice and bright and cheery....what could be better? It definitely depends on the recipient...and this is going postal today for a young blogging buddy of mine that recently lost a family member. I'm crossing my fingers that when she opens up the envy that this card will make her smile...
The card base is Stampin' Up Chocolate chip and the oh-so-cute paper is Sassafras Fruit Slice Land...reversible...the scalloped heart band is the flip side of the rainbow design....I could NOT resist the scalloped edge. I picked it up from the fabulous online store, Peacoats & Party Hats. Candice's blog is fabulous...I loved this post with her Haunted Couture Kit.... soooo stinkin' fun! I actually took the time to stitch the fun button onto the American Crafts felt flower...I figure that it will have a better chance going through the USPS that way...
I hope you all have a magnificent weekend...I have a feeling that it is going to be a soggy soccer Saturday for us....

Bowlin Butterfly
"If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies."
~unknown~
I bought the Stipple Butterfly off of the SCS b/s/t board. I've been wanting it for a while and finally found one. I think that I'll get my $ worth out of it. I've been working hard to incorporate buttons onto my cards. I have a TON of them...The three on this card are vintage. I have been fortunate in receiving old buttons from a handful of people.
I was lucky duck to be able to spend my lunch hour with my SU demo Julie!! We had fun chatting and creating. Thanks J...you rock!!!!

Thinking of Basic Grey
I was requested to make a masculine card...I really like this rich Basic Grey pattern. Check out all the layers....and no ribbon! I double deckered some buttons to add some interest to the stitched panel...This card is a gigantic 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches, great size for a group card.
Here is to a creative week!

My All Weather Friend...
I hope that you had a FABulous weekend. The weather has been gorgeous in the Pacific Northwest. I've been taking advantage of it by hopping onto my bike in the evening.
Yesterday wrapped up the Seattle Susan B Komen Breast Cancer 3 day Walk. I want to give a shout out to my friend E that completed it!!! It was a first time she signed up for it and I am so very proud of her...60 miles...high five sista!!
Those of you that have been following my blogging journey know that I'm pretty much a clean & simple design kind of gal. This MFT card is about as layer'licious as I will get...lol. I'm trying to use sets that are horribly neglected...never seen the light of day. I love the Rain or Shine set. Guess what? It is on sale...my favorite word, sale! This card will go postal today to a friend of mine that is a true animal lover. She has been consistently fostering dogs on top of volunteering at her local animal shelter. She holds a full time job...travels for that job...manages to even make time to make beautiful jewelry {I've been trying to get her to open up an etsy shop!}. She is actually one of thee most craftiest peeps I know...I think she's experienced in almost every crafting possible..lol...AND she's magnificent at everything!
I hope you all have a spectacular week!

Boo!
Chandeliers....orange....black.....doesn't that scream Halloween? My boy questioned me about the correlation of a chandelier and halloween...hasn't he learned yet? LOL...I told him that it was because I liked it :)
Woo Hoo for the weekend!

so grateful
I've noticed a trend in people talking about all the cards we make...just sitting...not going postal. I typically make cards with someone specifically in mind but I certainly have a pile just waiting to go out snail mail. What do you all do with the cards waiting to go to a new home?
Happy Thursday!!!!

You take the Cake!
Here is another inchies card...the cake is ala A Muse and I just love the "You take the Cake" sentiment from Flourishes Cake Decorating set! I colored in the cake plate with my stardust pen to give it a little sparkle. The inchie is on a pop dot...and yes, it is a 4.25" square card :)
Hooray for a short work week!!!

Life is an Adventure...
This is a "simple dimple" card as Angie would type...The "it's an adventure" is a die cut from my Making Memories Hul.la.ba.loo line kit. I love the pop of pink...now who doesn't love pink?!
