Newton's Nook Designs October | Holiday Release - REVEAL DAY 1 - Destination Christmas Stamp Set + coordinating dies, Christmas Campers Stamp Set + coordinating dies and Tiny Trees & Reindeer Stencils

Today is the day!  It is the start of the Newton's Nook Designs October | Holiday Release Reveals!  I can't wait to show you how I was inspired by this release!

Today we're featuring:

Destination Christmas stamp + coordinating die
Christmas Campers stamp + coordinating die
Tiny Trees Stencil + Reindeer Stencil

Here's how I was inspired:

Let's chat about Christmas Campers first:

I teamed it up with the Tiny Trees Stencil along with the Land Border Die and Clouds stencil.  I designed a Christmas Tree Farm.  We're back to being a fresh tree family.  We use to also have fresh trees but after the kids went to college I made the switch to artificial and then last year we went back to fresh.

Here are the copics I used:
R05 | R27 | R24
G000
G03 | G05
BG13 | BG15
C0 | C1 | C4 | C5
W5

Next up is Destination Christmas:

For this card I also included:
Reindeer Stencil
Forest Scene Builder Die
Framework Die
Land Border Die
Houndstooth Stencil

I did a bit of tone on tone stenciling with the reindeers...do you see them on the background panel?  The hillside has been stenciled with Houndstooth.  That VW from the Destination Christmas is fabulous.  We use to have a VW and I managed to shove a pretty tall tree inside the car too.

I'm loving the silhouette of the black trees from the Forest Scene Builder set.  Originally I had cut the birch trees and then thought that the evergreens would be a better match with the stamp.

From My Neck of the Woods to Yours | My Favorite Things

Hey, it's just me, playing around with photography.  I decided I'm not loving that darker wood panel and now I can't find my white wood panel...it's here, somewhere.  It is definitely Fall in the pacific northwest.  It's darker in the morning and since I finished this card super early this morning, I thought I'd try something different.

I just received the MFT Fox & Friends card kit in the mail and wanted to dive into it.  I 'had' to pick it up since there were airplanes in the set.

The stitched panel has a Kristina Werner oxide combo:

Shabby Shutters
Peacock Feathers
Faded Jeans

I inked up a ton of the images from the Fox and Friends set!  Here are the copic colors I used:

R00
YG0000 | YG01
YG23 | YG25
BG0000
BG13 | BG15
B21 | B34
E000 | E30
W00 | W1 | W3
N0 | N2

The cardstock is from the kit.  Yes, I added the Fox and Friends Die-namics because it's just easier.

You can't necessarily tell from the photo but the clouds have BG0000 and loads of wink of stella.  The mountain tops and trees also have tons of wink of stella.

Hey Ghoul Friend | Inspired by Challenge - be my boo

Welcome to another new Inspired by Challenge!  There is also an optional sketch challenge:

Here's how I was inspired:

I was inspired by the:

ghost
stripes

I combined Lawn Fawn's Happy Harvest + Booyah.  For you Lawn Fawn fans, you might notice that I masked off the original scarecrow's face and added a face from the Booyah set.  That particular expression cracks me up.  It might make you think that the ghost was having second thoughts about their costume choice OR that the scarecrow is a bit leery of those ghosts.

I went with another softer palette, with the following Stampin' Up cardstock strips:

Petal Pink [look more sherbet-y orange than pink to me]
Pistachio Pudding
Purple Posy

My copics:

R00
E93 | E95 |YR02
YG01 | G40
BV00 | BV11
T0 | T2 | T3
T4 | T5

Hello Friend | Hello Bluebird

Although I have a ton of fall | halloween cards to send out today, I couldn't resist another Halloween design.  This one is with the Hello Bluebird, Halloween Party set.

I also added the Winter Woods Overlay die and a sentiment from the McGregor's Garden set.

The copics I used are:

R00
YR09 | YR18
Y08
BG13 | BG15
E50 | E21
W00 | W1 | W3

I used a Stampin' Up Coastal Cabana panel and blended it up with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers.

I rotated and used a loose interpretation of CAS(E) the Sketch!

Pumpkin Spice | Doodlebug Design

I picked up some pieces of the Doodlebug Designs - Pumpkin Spice collection from Doodlebugswa.com.  They arrived yesterday and I knew I had to whip up some quick cards.  Here's how I was inspired:

My first card, Coffee, Hug in a Mug, also includes the Coffee + coordinating honey cuts from Honey Bee Stamps.   You can't really tell from this photo, but that kraft panel has a pattern on it.

Here's a bit of a close up, it's so cute:

My second design has so much going on but it's such a happy card:

This time I used the Honey Bee Stamps Latte stamps + coordinating Honey Cuts.  I used some Doodle-Pops [dimensional stickers].  I generally buy them and hoard them, this time I forced myself to use them.

I was thoroughly inspired by the Fab Friday sketch:

I was especially inspired by THIS card....I LOVE it.
