happy BEE day | Reverse Confetti

I hope to be posting several birthday card designs over the next couple of days.  There are about 7 people at my work that have March Birthdays.  Out of 17 employees, that's a big birthday month!

For today's card I combined Reverse Confetti's Elegant Florals and Happy Bee Day sets:

I never tire of the look of toile.  I love the look of the Iced Aqua and Midnight color combo, how about you?  That pop of yellow is the perfect accent.

I really need to work on my birthday card stash.  Am I the only one that doesn't constantly design them?

happy birthday | Mama Elephant

Yesterday I spent a bit of time with my friends Katie + Novell.  We hit the Impress shop's University Village closing event.    So sad that they closed that location but happy they still have their main store and online services!

One of the many sets I purchased was the Mama Elephant - Animal Parade.  I'm literally patting myself on the back for inking it up so fast (other crafters like me understand).

How cute is this set?!  I love it!  I was thoroughly inspired by THIS card by Thi Lam.

I switched up the color palette and went with my current fav...I'm using that color trio again, Stampin' Up:

Blushing Bride   |   Calypso Coral   |   Coastal Cabana

The embossing folder is by Stampin' Up.

I was inspired by the currently Freshly Made Sketches (rotated).

Coffee Tag Trio | Ellen Hutson LLC - Essentials by Ellen

So on Tuesday I picked up the latest Essentials by Ellen Release at Ellen Hutson LLC.  I'm grateful that I can just drive over there to pick up my orders:

It's filled with so much goodness, don't you agree?  I had to ink up Latte Love and A Breve Note sets:

I whipped together a trio of tags!  I think one of my favorites is the Breve Note one.  That floral mug is gorgeous...I love the design of it!  I topped it off with seam binding that was in my stash.

I love the sentiment on this next tag, the font is especially appropriate.  The 'ribbon' is this awesome boiled wool that I've been ferociously hoarding.  It made me feel a bit better since I made it a skinnier version by trimming it in half.

My IG friend Cathy requested I use the 'too peopley' sentiment, boom, it's done.  The ribbon trim on this last tag was gifted to me by my boy.  He picked it up special from a shop in NYC.

I was thoroughly inspired by Tag You're It Challenge #81:

Thanks snow much | Reverse Confetti

Hello and Happy Tuesday.  It's my last day off from work, I have a bunch of stuff to do but crafting first!  Today I inked up Reverse Confetti's Sno Awesome.

You can't go wrong with sno-cones and rainbows!  I teamed them up with a sentiment from the Snow Bunnies set.

I coordinated the rainbow strip by cutting 0.25 inch strips of Premier Polar White and used the same copics I used for the sno-cones.

I definitely prefer the Hawaiian Shave Ice which has a finer consistency like snow.  The bonus is the sweet red beans that are on the bottom...YUM.

You Make Every Day Brighter | My Favorite Things

I'm popping in here real quick to post a card.  This is the first time I've inked up the MFT Puddle Jumper set.  That guy is so cute, reminds me of my youngest when he was younger.

I've combined Puddle Jumper with Rain or Shine, some double stitched circles and the large cloud stencil.

My poor Subtle Plaid 6x6 is getting pretty sparse.

I was thoroughly inspired by the MFT Sketch Challenge:

We literally got home this morning around 2 am from vacation.  We were in the Dominican Republic.  Such a gorgeous vacation destination.

We (unfortunately) had an unexpected layover in Miami.  It wook us 36+ hours to get home.  I had to pick up the Florida mug, it's with my favorite color palette!

flying by to say hi | Lawn Fawn

I'm back again with another interactive card.  This has been good for me.  I'm using product that has been literally sitting around waiting to be used.

So I'm notorious for getting caught up in the excitement of new releases (who doesn't?).  The difference between me and about 1/2 the crafting population, maybe 1/4 of the populations, a ton of my new purchases don't get used right away (cough cough).  Anyone else have the Lawn Fawn Slide on Over lawn cuts and haven't used them?  I'm keeping things real.  I watched this video which has some great tips.  I just noticed that the release was in May 2016.  Oh well, better late than never, right?

In case you haven't been following me for a while.  We have an airplane.  D built it and is working away on a second one that is a 4-seater (yes!).   I do own Lawn Fawn's Flying By + Bon Voyage (looks like I need to add Plane and Simple).

I managed to combine the following Distress Oxides on a bristol panel:

Worn Lipstick  |  Fired Brick  |  Aged Mahogany  |  Dusty Concord

You gotta try out the Trinity Stamps Blendability brushes.  It makes it so much easier to blend inks!

I sprinkled the panel with water and then followed up with a couple sprays of the (retired) Hero Arts Gold Metallic Shimmer.

I used the curvy Slider and kept the die cut piece to add to my card base to give the scenery a more finished look.

The clouds have a smidge of B0000 and a bunch of Wink of Stella.

Love the Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountain Borders.  They've been cut in Stampin' Up Sugar Plum cardstock.  I have so much SU cardstock that I'm trying to incorporate them more into my card designs.

The sentiment was embossed in Hero Arts Gold.

I really love this color palette don't you?  It was inspired by the Lawn Fawnatics Color Inspiration:

Such a fun Valentine's Day color palette!

In case you didn't notice in my photos, the airplane flew across the card:

I have to confess that I've always thought of myself as a lazy crafter.  Not in the sense that I wouldn't die cut a bazillion images to add to one card but I'm always slow on the interactive/3D etc techniques.  I am loving this new found fun in paper crafting.

I couldn't wait to ink up the super cute new set, So Fairy Cute.

Oh my, isn't she CUTE?!  I love her Princess Leia buns!  I teamed her up with some fun graphic paper from Fancy Pants Designs.  That also became my coloring palette.

You might not readily be able to tell but she has a gold sparkly enamel dot on her crown too.

I used the largest scallop in the Flaunters Die set.  It's gorgeous in glittery gold, isn't it?  The very fun sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed on one of the Bannerific Dies.

I filled up the shaker with Iridescent Heart Confetti by Pretty Pink Posh.

Here's how I was inspired for this month's challenge:

Today I'm featuring the Cotton & Thistles set.  I love this for not only the gorgeous bouquet but for the added sentiments that are a part of the set.

It's a super fun and easy image to color.  You can't readily tell but the cotton images all have Wink of Stella on them.

The paper panel is From Cupid and the white frames are from All Framed Up.  I stamped the sentiment on strip of midnight cardstock.  The top two corners have been rounded.  The sentiment has been heat embossed with white.

Make sure you check the Reverse Confetti Blog for more inspiration!

Filled with Lots of Treats | My Favorite Things

I've been trying to keep up with manufacturer challenges to use my stash of stamps.  I also find that some of my sets are retired, Top Dog + Peek-a-Boo Trio Die-namics.  I go through my stamps + dies on a regular basis so if I have it, I love it.

I know, I'm using that color trio again, Stampin' Up:

Blushing Bride   |   Calypso Coral   |   Coastal Cabana

I was thoroughly inspired by Melania's card.

I'm a total eye-baller....but, I did remember that I have the MFT Peek-a-boo Trio Die-Namics.  So I cut it with white, Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral.  I anchored the white strip (without the circles) onto my card front with washi tape and dropped in my colored circles.  When I figured out how I wanted them to be, I stamped them with the Distress Patterns in Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink.  After the ink dried, I loaded them up with adhesive and dropped them into the white strip.  I peeled off the white strip from my base and trimmed the panel down.

The sentiment has been heat embossed with Lawn Fawn's Rose Gold.  It goes so perfectly with the color combo, doesn't it?

Here are the copics that I used:

R05 + R08
BG13 + BG15
E00 + E01

I was inspired by the MFT Sketch Challenge:
