Newton's Nook Designs | Design Team Member

I'm super excited to share that I've joined the Newton's Nook Designs Team!

I wanted to design a project using the fun Slimline Frames & Portholes Die set especially for today.  Here's how I was inspired:

I combined the following products:

Lemon Twist
Slimline Frames & Portoles Die Set
Essential Alphabet Die Set

I cut strips of colored cardstock to customize my citrus card palette!  The new Slimline Frames are fantastic and so very versatile.  I think the added panel in between the portholes and the scallop panel along with a solid base underneath the scallop frame make for fun layering.

I love the black sentiment using the Essential Alpha.  This makes for a perfect card to send to a friend.

I was thoroughly inspired by the Inky Paws Challenge

If you need me | Inspired by Challenge - Fruity Sentiments

Hello and Welcome to another new Inspired by Challenge!  There is also an optional sketch challenge:

I was inspired by the lemons and the sketch.  Here's how it all turned out for me:

I inked up the Ellen Hutson's Squeeze the Day by Julie Ebersole, Essentials by Ellen set.  I love this one, the sentiments are awesome!

As you can see, I totally followed the sketch too!  Made it super easy for designing this one.

This is also my first time using the Karin Brushmarker Pro.  Those pens are filled with vivid color!  I can't wait to play with them more!

Boo | Evelin T Designs

I'm still in my Fall Mode and wanted to share this Halloween card made with Evelin T Designs' stamps:

I combined the Best Friends Fur-ever with the earlier released, It's BOO-tastic!  I love how the sets easily play well with each other.

Are you a Halloween card fan?  I love designing them!  I tend to gravitate to Orange, Green + Purple color palettes.

I even made an interior panel for this card with another sentiment from It's BOO-tastic!

That purple guy from Best Friends Fur-ever is having his Halloween Coffee :)

Happy Wednesday!

Thankful for You | My Favorite Things

Originally I thought I was going to design a summery card and then I spotted this MFT Li'l Pumpkin set.  I picked it up when they had a sale on their site and now it looks like it is retired.  I don't gravitate to 'people' images but love all things pumpkin.  I'm happy to ink this up!

I fell back on my clean and simple style for this one.  The base panel is Ellen Hutson's Oyster cardstock.

Fall cards are definitely my favorite season.

The copics I used:

R01
YR14 | YR16
YR31 | Y17
E31 | E51
E13 | E55
W0 | W3

Honestly, I started with this week's Color Throwdown color trio:

My friend Tonya played along with me!  I think Lisa Lara might join too!

I'm also linking up to CAS(E) this sketch!

Aloha | Inspired by Challenge - Beach Life

Hello and Welcome to another new Inspired by Challenge!  There is also an optional sketch challenge:

I was inspired by the:

Surfboard
Tropical Scene
colors
French Door

Here's how I translated it:

I used the Pretty Pink Posh - Beach Scene die.  I thought that die picked up the overall theme of the photo.  Rather than paper piecing each scenery, I decided to use the colors from the photo for each die cut.

The sentiments are from the Tropical Birds set.

The window panes on the French Door...I decided to use the gingham paper!

I drink coffee & make cards | a●muse studio

Did you see the latest a●muse | studio release?  It's so cute and right up my alley:

Today I'm featuring the One of a Kind set.  I love all the sentiments in this set especially the I Drink Coffee & Make Cards.  I mean, come on, it's calling my name!

I teamed it up with the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid - Rainbow paper and the CTMH Pixie paper.  The slimlimes are by Mama Elephant - Slim Card Basics.
