I slapped on the Deck the Hallz Stickerz on a vellum metal rimmed tag...easy smeasy!

Each member of the Design Team received a bunch of goodies from Pixie Petals...I made 3 cards for today:)

Check out the sketch for today!

Okay, I did a very liberal take on the sketch...I received 2 fab doilies in my goodie bag and wanted to use one of them for the sketch card.....do you see my whimsical stitching?  The crochet flower is from Pixie Petals too.  The button is PTI and the sentiment is E.A.D Designs Deck the Halls Stickerz.

The paper is Cosmo Cricket Delovely...that stuff rocks and is DeBright:)

Next up is a CAS card....what can I say, I love doilies:

I just used an A Muse sentiment...clean & simple and only $0.44 for postage {score!}.

This is a little card...4.25 x 4.25:

You know me...I needed to fit in my Cosmo Cricket November Mitten Weather Project-a-Day in....the seam binding ribbon is from Pixie Petals.

I hope that you'll join us in the 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday Challenge!!!

I had a little bloggie candy for a random commenter over on Tiff's blog...thanks for all the lovely comments ladies...you all rock:)

Tiff and I are both of the magnificent Torendi Design Team so I only thought it was appropriate to throw out a Torendi Gift Card to a random winner:)

So, with the help of random.org....the winner of the Torendi $10 Gift Certificate is:

WOOT WOOT Ayana!!!!!

to wonderful you...from grateful me...

Happy Saturday!!!!

I decided to join our 365 Cards Saturday Gal, Heidi,  in her challenge...the recipe from all the bits for the 365 Cards Vintage Week!  It's a regular Martha Stewart recipe...meaning alot of ingredients:)

Here is the final recipe:
1) Pam - Piercing
2) ME - Stitching (real or faux)
3) Sophia - Button
4) Tesa - Die Cut
5) Rose - 5x5 Card
6) Gloria - Stick pin
7) Audrey - Stamp
8) Kim - Distressing
9) Hannah - Dimensional sticker
10) Sophie - Lace
11) Heidi - Card Recipe

Here's my card:

I have to be honest, the dimensional sticker threw me....but I found a fun crown sticker in my stash that I went ahead and distressed with Memento Rich Cocoa...the edges of the floral base have been distressed using my Heidi Swapp distresser {brownie points for both types of distressing?!}...you can't tell by the pic but the diecut has piercing along the edge...Here's a close up shot:

There are 3 prizes to be won this week, and there are 3 different ways to win.  The first is the usual way - just participate in the challenges and earn up to 7 changes to win the random drawing.  The second is to leave comments on each of the designer's blogs on their blog hop posts (but read carefully, you may have to answer a specific question to qualify).  The third is to participate in the Card Recipe challenge!

This is a multi-tasking card because I'm linking it to some other challenges out there in bloggie land...the first for Yvonne Yam's Guest Blogger's challenge by Julie Tucker-Wolek.  The challenge is to make a card with new and old stuff...The new stuff is all the G45 goodies that the fab Gloria Stengal shared with the 365 Cards Design Team {woot woot Gloria} and the old is that dimensional sticker...

The next challenge is ala These Are a Few of my Favorite Things Challenge blog , Julie Tucker-Wolek is the hostess with the mostess!  There are a couple gals in need of thank you cards so the challenge is to make a fall colored thank you card...I decided to make one for Dolores {Julie's bloggie friend} who's best friend is fighting breast cancer on a very limited income being a teacher...the gals have asked for Thank You cards to be sent to them to have on hand for the many, many, many people that are assisting them in their time of need.

Next up is my Mitten Weather Card!

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel peeps...it's almost been a whole month since I challenged myself to design a card with Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather paper/elements.  It all started because of the Cosmo Cricket December Guest Designer Contest...random draw...yadda yadda...BUT I've managed to learn some stuff about myself...I'm a tried and true Cosmo Cricket fan...seriously love their stuff...I've been averaging 2 projects a day on a daily basis since I started this self-challenge...I gotta tell you, if I didn't start the Mitten Weather challenge, I'd be a hurtin' unit for Christmas Cards...haha

A little bit of zig zagging sure does dress up a card:)  I used a bunch of the Mitten Weather stickers on this card...Sweater Weather...gotta love that...I'm such a sweater girl!

I was inspired by Laura's 2s4y sketch:

♥♥sneaky peek♥♥

Here's a sneak peek of my December Daily pages...

I thought I was being such a smarty pants by using the Making Memories Noel Advent Calendar for my December Daily....using that kit and teaming it up with the Noel 8x8's....plus all the other Noel goodies I have UNTIL I realized that my Advent kit is missing a '1'...grrrr...it is for day '19'....I've sent an email to Making Memories and to the store that I bought the kit from...crossing my fingers I get some type of help...seems silly BUT...come on...it's a kit...I'm into the matchy matchy thing...

you are one in a million...

For those that celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope you had a GREAT one...I ate too much:)

I have a couple cards to chat about...

This one has a bunch of MME Fine and Dandy/True Blue:

I topped it off with a SRM sentiment...

I was inspired by the latest sketch over at Limelight which has a challenge of Polka Dots:

Fabbie sketch...if you haven't heard the news, you gotta run over to Limelight...

Next up is a Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather card for my November Project-a-Day:

Just a reminder that I am one of many guest blogger's over on Tiff's blog...leave me a comment on my day and I'll draw a winner for a $10 Torendi Gift Card!  I'll leave the commenting open until tonight at 11:59 pm PST....so pop on over HERE.

Just a reminder that Flashback Friday 5.0 is running...the challenge is to post your first technique card...we have a fabbie sponsor...you'll want to check it out!

Anyone else doing the December Daily?  I managed to crank out my base pages yesterday...yes, all 25 of them...more on them tomorrow:)

happy turkey day!

Wednesday, November 24, 2010

After Monday's fiasco of an evening commute...you can bet that I stayed home yesterday....crossing my fingers that things get better with the weather although if you'd ask my kids, they are totally digging the snow...hey, it's cool with me so long as I don't have to drive in the stuff...

Okay, okay...let's get to some craftiness....

I have soo many Christmas paper collections....I've been slinging out the Cosmo Goodness on a regular basis that my other sets are feeling a smidge neglected...

So here comes some Making Memories Noel goodness:

I know you all know that I ADORE mixing and matching collections....I assure you that I don't dress this way...  Although when the kidlets were younger, I use to LOVE to dress them in funky clothing..and the girl, the girl always had a hat and tights on...oh-those-were-the-days....

Why do I insist on making bumpy cards?  The USPS loves me...I bet the average cost of postage for each of my Christmas Cards is going to be $1.22....typing about the USPS...is it just me or does the person in line behind you always forget about the concept of personal space and bathing too?  This is probably why I always procrastinate going to the post office...grrrr...

Dontcha love that silvery glittery sprig?

I was inspired by the Card Patterns sketch...and my fabbie friend Sparks is the sponsor this week...

You all gotta know how I like making scenery cards...pssttt....I made a boo boo...the glorious thing about crafting is there is typically a fix for everything...especially when you have almost totally finished the card....at least all the stitching...check out all the stitching on this puppy and then I stamped the greeting crooked.....grrrrrr....hence the banner:)

The pink and green papers are Dear Lizzie...the red is Cosmo Cricket and the cardstock is Stampin' up Chocolate chip.

It seems like I took a break from color challenges but just recently started back playing with them...love the current Embellish Challenge...

I might just take Thanksgiving off from my blog...we'll see:)

As always...thanks for stoppin' by....

thanks snow much...

Well, we were hit by snow flurry yesterday which led to my 3 hour, yes 3 hour long trip home....ugh....it was totally one of those white knuckled drives...so glad that I made it home, safe & sound.

Okie Dokie...today is the Skipping Stones Design Sketch Challenge!

Have you been enjoying Shannan's sketches as much as I have been?!!!

Check out this week's:

I'm giving you a sneaky peek of a new upcoming Skipping Stones Design set...

The yellow pom trim is from the Christopher Pines Etsy shop...they were our sponsor last week...more on them in a smidge.

Dontcha just love those snowflakes?  Here's an upclose shot:

The snowflakes have been embossed with American Crafts Grapefruit Zing!  All the patterned paper is from Torendi!  It is the Sassafras Count me in Wee Bundle...see the bloom?  It's a Sassafras Stitched Blossom. I stitched up all the panels and distressed it with Memento Rich Cocoa.

I decided to sling out a tag....the sweet bird and sentiment is from the Skipping Stones Design Sassy Snow set.

The snowflakes are Stampin' up, the buttons from PTI, pearls are Kaiser and of course the patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather for my 'ole November Project-a-Day!

The color inspiration is from Cupcake's Creations Color Challenge:

I came across the color challenge via Mona's guest designer, Pauline who recently linked up to Flashback Friday 5.0!  Such a fun color challenge...thanks Mona and Pauline!

Blog Candy Winner!!!

Well, last Tuesday's post had some blog candy...the Skipping Stones Design Team had been treated to some goodies by the Christopher Pines Etsy Shop!
