Coffee date | Create a Smile Stamps

So, I wanted to play with the Create a Smile Stamps Coffee Collection Kit and decided to combine it with some older CAS stamps:

That big rainbow mug?  It's from their (retired) Coffee First set.  I LOVE that mug for the style and size!  The other coffee to go cup and green mug are from the Coffee Collection Kit stamp set.

I managed to use a rainbow color palette.  The pattern paper is also vintage, Cosmo Cricket (I miss them!).

I used another (retired) set with the dies from the kit:

Aren't those critters fun?  They're from the retired Lovely Critters set.

Have you checked out their Coffee Collection Kit?!!!

I'm a bit of a sketch-a-holic and love their new challenge:

2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop Day Three: Tea

We're on Day Three of the 2016 Winter Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop!  So today's card is something that I've been thinking about since I 'adopted' The Scoop by Avery Elle.

I combined it with Avery Elle's Tea Time set.  I went in search of the smallest coffee/tea cups that I owned and they are by Create a Smile Stamps,  Coffee First.  To add the Holiday theme, I used the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid - Christmas 6x6  from The Heart Desires and a snowflake wood veneer.

My new fav drink is the London Fog Tea Latte...YUM.

Did you know about these special dates?

National Cocoa Day 12/13
International Tea Day 12/15

We're so lucky to have all three as Super Sponsors:

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day 6

I'm popping in speedy quick as I should be preparing lunch.  I invited my Momma over and haven't even started cooking it yet (thanks to Blue Apron for the help!).

Have you linked up to the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop?  Although this isn't a blaring coffee card, I did manage to include a coffee image and a summer theme!  I made this for a boy that will be graduating 6th grade.  I wanted to break into my Create a Smile Beach Party Kit!

I actually combined the Beach Party Kit

along with the Coffee First set

Create a Smile is one of our Super Sponsors!  They're giving away a 25€ Create a Smile Gift Card!

enjoy

Hello!  I hope you had a great weekend!  I know that I did!  I have a fun card to share today:

I finally inked up the Mint Owl Studio - Coffee Craze that I picked up from Butterfly Reflections Ink!  Isn't that chunky mug ---> awesome?!  I colored it with my Peerless watercolors.  I added some black dotting for a bit of contrast and topped it off with a Create a Smile Enjoy chippie!

Here's a bit of a twist on my card, that polka panel is actually a 'cozy'.  It slips off to be able to see the entire card.

I used the Reverse Confetti Edgers Confetti Cuts to get the scoop in the 'cozy'.

Edited to add:  Connie left me a question about the size of the cozy:  Hi Connie, I wasn't able to reply to you directly since you're a no-reply commenter.  The strip I used was 4 x 12 inches.  I placed the edgers confetti cut in the middle and die cut it out.  I then wrapped the patterned paper around the card base, while centering the scoop.  I had to trim my card base a smidge to make things a comfortable fit.  The trick is to put a stopping mechanism in the bottom of the cozy.  I used the same yellow ribbon and taped it inside the cozy so that the card can't 'fall through'.  I'll post another design since this particular card has gone postal already :)

Just say yes to Yellow + Green!

Happy National Cappuccino Day!

post 1 of 2...click HERE for the Reverse Confetti November Release Blog Hop!

Happy National Cappuccino Day!  I threw this graphic out as an inspiration to the Fabulous Folks over in the Coffee Loving Papercrafters FB Group:

Always trying to be a team player (I didn't mention that I also threw out a donut challenge the other day on National Donut Day...) here's what I came up with:

cardstock:  recollection/110/white, stampin up gumball green  stamps:  hero arts G6071 absolutely awesome  ink:  fresh ink chocolate  other:  essentials by ellen folk heart dies, create a smile coffee chippie, kuretake gansai tambi

I loaded up a bunch of the brown and white kuretake gansai tambi watercolors onto a stitched circle die.  I added a vellum Folk Heart in the middle and used some stickles to add some focus on the heart....(there's a reason why I don't use the stuff...should have went with my gut and tried my gold sharpie but I do love the slight glitz of the stickles).  If I had posted this without the inspiration pic, you might not necessarily notice that you're looking down onto a cup of coffee so I decided to reinforce that notion but added the glorious Create a Smile Coffee chippie

My card was inspired by the current Freshly Make Sketches:

Honestly, I've never had a Cappuccino...maybe today I will!
