Hero Arts is their sponsor!!!

I finally inked up my PTI Studio Style's got Amy written all over it...okay, so it probably has ALL of us written all over it :)

I teamed it up with one of my current color combo favs....aqua and that! I colored in all the buttons with Copic Frost blue...can you tell that I colored the lid of the button jar? I used my Sakura Glitter Stardust has the perfect metallic shimmer...

This also fits the Design Dollies color challenge (thanks Laurel!).

As always...thanks sooo much for stoppin' by!!

hey girlfriend...

Today's challenge is 1-2-3:

1 black item
2 punched items
3 round items

Just a reminder that there is a
store-wide 25% off sale...better go check it out!!!

I used the current Unscripted Sketches #48:
Here's my take on 'both' challenges...

Okay, you all deserve a little background on this crazy actually started off differently...I used the Martha Stewart cupcake punch instead of the chippie....I didn't like the cupcakes because they weren't the right what do I do? I do a little of this and a little of that...found the chippie that goes with the paper and there you wasn't until later that I realized that I removed part of the JBelle challenge...grrrr....I took off the 2 punched items...sooooo....let's use our 'imagination' and pretend that I punched those chippies...LOL...sorry about that ladies...{shaking my head}...

Be sure to check out what the other JBelle Gals created for some fabbie inspiration!

you make me happy...

I had a pretty productive weekend, did you? I still think that there aren't enough hours in the day...

Today's card is a fun mix of 2 challenges:

Embellish Color Challenge with Stitching

This is what I came up with...

Such fun challenges...the sketch was perfect for what I had in mind. The colors are delish, aren't they? The blue paper is from a K&Co boxed set that I just's something that I go to when I can't seem to find the right papers...the pink polka dot frame is a MME's diecut...the feltie bird is ala American Arts...I stitched around the blue panel with pink thread and I was lucky, the bird has stitching on her too!

Everything is nestled on a Speckletone Craft base...

Call me a lucky ladies know how to make my day...a chandie? How did Heidi know??!! Thanks is perfect!

For Sale Tab

I'm starting my Spring Cleaning {ugh} process....please see my "For Sale" tab.

I will be continually adding to the list over the weekend....

chock full of MME...

woot woot for the weekend!

It isn't just any weekend but my daughter's birthday's all about her:)

I got to play with both Laura's sketch and Alice's Bonus sketch!

First up is Laura's sketch:

I played with some new MME Quite Contrary/Jack & Jill...this card screams the Pacific Northwest:)

I love all the umbrellas...The sentiment is from the Kim Hughes, Spring Trees set...

I was thrilled to see that Alice designed the bonus sketch!

I decided to keep rollin' with the MME papers...I did a ton of stitching on this one...

That's it for today...I hope that you all have a fabbie weekend!

Come on back tomorrow....I'll be sharing my 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday Card and some fabbie RAK's!

Friday, March 26, 2010

just a note...

Happy Friday!!!

Today I'm sharing what I did with the fun Sketch Girl Challenge...

I broke into my American Crafts Dear Lizzie supplies...

For some reason, the litte square and the rectangular shapes were throwing me but I worked them out...I thought that the pink music paper was appropriate since the birds are tweeting and the swirl was a nice blingy touch...I used pink stitching on the green polka dot panel and nestled everything on a Stampin' Up Pretty in Pink card base. The banner panel is actually on pop dots on the Pretty In Pink base.

Thanks for the fabbie sketch and inspiration Sketch Girls!!!

Sassiness continues...

Soooo many Challenges....Soooo little time...

I finally got over to play
SFYTT! I was really lovin' both Jen and Angie's cards {woot woot for Angie!!!} but I tell you, the colors on Angie's really inspired me to play along:)

Here's my sassy take on the sketch...

I definitely seem to go in streaks...I hadn't played with my Sassafras for a while and now I have posted 2 cards in 2 days with their goodies on it!

The Glittery Sticker is Making Memories Design Studio...and the buttons are SEI that are topped off with Kaiser pearls...I'm obviously 'not afraid' of color...the more the merrier:)

♥♥RAK Alert♥♥

Lookie what I got in the mail from Angie:)

Isn't it fantabulous!!! I absolutely LOVE it!!!! Thanks rock!!!

You all better race over to Jacksonbelle...

Woot Woot girlie!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to my Girl...

It is really hard for me to believe that 15 years ago I had my girl...I'll spare you all the deets but she was big girl {to me!} when she was born...7 lbs 7 oz!
{I Know...7 lbs 7 must have been all those Super Size Fries and Egg McMuffins...haven't had them since..blech!}

She is such a whipper snapper...a smart cookie..{my side of the family}...and I love her to pieces!

Onto some birthday craftiness...I used Taylored Expressions #105:

It seemed only appropriate to use Sassy papers for my Sassy Girl:)

Happy Birthday to my Girl...

RAK Alert♥♥

I wanted to share a RAK that I received from the fabbie Rose Miller!

Good grief, Rose IS the Paper Piecing QUEEN!!! Such a gorgeous card...

The Challenge is to make a card/project with an Easter theme or Easter Colors. I opt'd for the colors because I really wanted to use my new Prima papers that I recently ordered through the Jacksonbelle store!!!

I teamed up the papers with Sketchy Thursday #75:

It is a perfect sketch to highlight my new goodies!

All the patterned paper is Prima...the "hello" is a SU rub on...the buttons PTI teamed up with black Kaiser Crafts Rhinestones. The ribbon is May Arts and there is also a smidge of black waxed twine.

Be sure to check out what the other JBelle Gals created for some fabbie inspiration!

thinking of you...and a give-a-way...

Monday already?! I tell you, Saturday in the Pacific Northwest was absolutely incredible. It hit as high as 70 degrees...unbelievable for this time of the year. Darin and I thoroughly enjoyed it by taking a long walk along the water and rewarding that walk with a delish brunch at a local cafe. Sunday was another weather story...back to the usual PNW stuff...rainy and dreary...perfect for crafting:)

First up is my take on the Card Patterns sketch # 56:

I teamed up the sketch with the MFW's Tuesday Trigger:

I was inspired by the that pillow!!

I broke into my new Schlosser Designs set, Furnishing Fun.

I used the chair image in the Furnishing Fun set and teamed it up with Basic Grey Mellow.

Next up is some Cutting Cafe fun!

If you've been following my blog for any length of time you know how much I adore coffee:

I teamed up Cutting Cafe goodness with the latest Poppy Seed Challenge:

I used the Cutting Cafe's coffee cup shaped card...

I tell you, this is the ultimate Pacific Northwest Card:) Coffee and Galoshes..LOL.
Regina of The Cutting Cafe is letting us give-a-way FREE stuff!!! In honor of my coffee addiction...I'd love to give-a-way both the Coffee Cup Shaped Card and Got Coffee? Printable Stamp set compliments of Regina!!! Leave me a comment on this post and I'll do a random draw on Wednesday, March honor of my daughter's birthday!
{commenting for the give-a-way will close on Tuesday, March 23rd @ mid-nite PDT}

Whew, mondo long post...but I wanted to end with a RAK I received from the very fabbie Sparkle:

Yup, I hi-jacked her pic from her recent blog post...isn't it GORGEOUS??!!! Gotta love the colors...and of course, the bling!!!! Thanks sooo much ROCK!

Welcome to 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday!!!

Today's card is based off of Pam's super sketch...I used some new goodies and a new technique to me..

Here's my card..

My new goodies: Prima Goodness!

New technique: Faux Stitching

Okay, so this is the first time I used faux stitching...I didn't have green thread and I'm not a fan of curvy machine stitching:) It looks like I used a plain old pencil but I actually used an SU Old Olive marker....LOL...I think I'm just not use to it since I've never faux stitched. I need to invest in some embroidery thread:)

Can't wait to see what you create with the 365 Cards Super Sunday Sketch!

I wanted to share a gorgeous card that my blogging friend Julia Aston sent to me...

Isn't it wonderful...thanks sooo much Julia...I really appreciate your happy mail!

Next up is a pic that was taken last bloggie friend Elaine and I went to a local Thai restaurant...Oh Boy, did we laugh...alot....really....

Okay, that's it for today...I'll be spending a huge chunk of the wee early morning hours crafting...I hope to sling out at least 5 cards to get me through the work week's worth of blog posts:)
