adventure awaits.

So, I bought this set from another gal and couldn't wait to use it.

It's a Kelly Purkey set via SSS:

The felt wave is something that I've had stashed away.  I think it is a Queen & Co that I bought at one of the conventions for $1.

I was inspired by last week's CAS(E) this sketch:

but lucky that it's a Simon Says Stamp

hello there!

I miscalculated so my Wednesday post is going live today...Click HERE for my Seize the Sketch post!

Someone recently pinned THIS by Claudia.  I thought that I had pinned it but couldn't find it so I hunted it down.

I knew that I wanted to give it a try!

So, this:

...became this:

super happy since I actually did something with a pin:)

See that ornament?  That was in my Impress Swag Bag from their Holiday Open House.  It's by Hero Arts and yeah me for actually using it!

The Hello There/Thank you sentiment is from Hero Arts/Heydey Sentiments.  The splotches?  It's from the Hero Arts set, My Favorite...thanks Katie!

How about a Holiday Thank You?

This is post 1 of 2 for me HERE for my A Blog Name Hero challenge post.

We're back with a brand new challenge at

Awesome sketch by my teamie, Jen!

I love how the sketches can be used to do clean & simple designs or something with more layers and embellishments!  Before I get to my card check out spectacular sponsor for this challenge:

Mona Pendleton

The fabulous Mona Pendleton from My Favorite Things is sponsoring Seize the Sketch #7 and provided the team with her beautiful stamps and dies. She is also providing a prize for our winner of Sketch #7!!!

I've been a long time fan of Mona's and was so thrilled to be able to play her stamps and dies!

I decided to go with a purple and gray combo:

I'm not a purple girl but love it teamed up with gray.  Aren't those Contemporary Roses gorgeous?

make a wish!

Hello and a Happy Monday to you!

Can you believe that it is almost Halloween?  This year is flying by....

Here's a super quick card:

Actually, it wasn't very quick, I ended up re-doing that tag several times.  I finally decided on Impress Fresh Ink Pink Lemonade.  Originally I was using Impress Sugar which was really too pale for the impact I was going for.

The sentiment is from Fresh Squeezed Stamps, Everyday Expressions.  LOVE that font.

Can you tell that the card base is a rich chocolate brown that has woodgrain embossed on it?

This cardstock is amazing.  It's german and my local supplier is now out of business...RIP Paper Zone.  I seriously hoard this stuff, it seems to be at least 120 lb and well, luxurious.

I topped off my tag with the delish

Timeless Twine

Envision the tag without the just isn't the same, eh?

I'd love it if you'd stop by the Timeless Twine blog and left me some bloggie love!

metallic mason.

Today I hope to craft for a majority of the about you?

Here's a skinny card:

The Lawn Fawn Mason Jar from Summertime Charm (thanks Ivy!!!) has been stamped on silver metallic paper by Making Memories.  The blooms are from the Flutter by set, I colored them with copics.

I'm really smitten by the embossing folder, it is Leaves and Diamonds by Sizzix.

I'm not a huge fan of stamping on metallic paper so instead of embellishing the jar with a sentiment, I went for the freckled fawn wood chips.

I'm playing along with the Lawnscaping Challenge

Here's my pin from my Mason Jar board that inspired me:

Whaddya think?

Happy Saturday!

Any fun crafting plans for today?  I'm taking a calligraphy class and I'm super excited about it.   If anyone has a calligraphy Pinterest board, please let me know.  I just started one and it's kind of sad, only 2 pins so far.

The PTI October Blog hop has been fun....I'll catch up with the others that have linked up this weekend.  I'm such a fan of tags so I'm thoroughly inspired by everyone.  In case you didn't see mine from yesterday, it's HERE.  Big surprise that I went with a coffee theme:)

Here's today's card:

See that honeycomb panel?  That autumn die cut has a white interior box, like really white.  The collection has more of a winter white thing going on so I decided to cover it up with that pale blue panel and add some texture.

For so many  layers, this card is totally flat (patting myself on the back for that).  I spent some quality time at the post office yesterday, so I'm super sensitive to at least try to make my cards postal friendly.

I knew I needed a layer-ie sketch so I used Mojo Monday:

All the designers on that team are awesome but I gotta tell you, Teresa Kline's card sang to me, kwim?

I'm finally linking up to Laurel's

When I saw the blue and orange combo, BINGO!  Let me just use my trusty Persimmon collection!

Yesterday I met up with the oh-so-fabulous Katie Brooks!  We met up at Impress and then ended up at Starbucks.  We keep missing our photo op!  Katie, we need to take a pic next time which is soon, right?  :)

Here are a couple pics that I took....the outdoor shopping mall is really pretty:

Anthro is my 2nd favorite shop there (obviously Impress being my fav!):

I fell in love with THIS sweater...a smidge expensive for me so I went home with THIS & THIS from the Gap.  Sheesh, I can't believe the price difference between online & retail....I got them 40% off of clearance so each shirt was $16...gotta love that green!

Okay, off to get another cup of coffee and my breakfast, a Chobani Flip Greek Yogurt!

Never underestimate...

Hello and Happy Friday!

For those of you that have been following me, know that I love my coffee:

This may look like an ordinary tag but let me share some deets!

The kraft base is upcycled packaging!
The PTI fillable frame panel is upcycled from PTI paper packaging.

Here they are x5:

Each of the coffee cozies have been stamped with Fresh Ink Pumpkin on PTI Aqua Mist.  The sentiments are stamped in memento rich cocoa and Fresh Ink Island.

I'm a huge fan of non-traditional holiday colors.  I'm also a huge fan of gift cards, quite frankly giving and receiving.

These tags will accompany coffee gift cards this holiday season.

See the  Latte Love border of stacking cups?  I was originally going to only stamp it once but when I realized it needed to be stamped twice I went ahead and masked off the original image.  Why?   ...because the upcycled cardboard really only accommodated the 5 tags and with my luck, I would have a stamping oopsie  and be outta luck, chuck.

I super love the look of kraft and white ink...add the pop of the fresh orange and aqua color makes me a happy crafter.

The twine that I'm using with the tags is by Timeless Twine, called Aqua Blue.  All Spools of twine are on sale this week for only $6!

If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm linking up to this month's PTI Blog Hop:

I used the following PTI supplies:

Fillable Frames #1
Heart-2-Heart #1
Latte Love
Aqua Mist cardstock
Tag Sale #5

I'm also playing along with the Fusion Card Challenge #20:

One of my FAV color combos!

Looking forward to hopping around with those of you that link up over at PTI!

I'm a huge fan of

when I originally finished this card and went to photog it, I realized that I adhered everything upside down.

I've been wanting this CAS-ual Friday set, Truth is.   Ellen has it on sale for 30% off so now it is part of my stamp inventory :)

I'm a sentiment sets with sentiments...and that botanical bloom is swoon-worthy.

I'm socking this away for a friend's upcoming birthday.  She consistently has family drama, runs a business and truly has a heart of gold.

thank you.

Well, hello!

I do hope you aren't totally sick of the Basic Grey Persimmon collection...

I used it for Seize The Sketch #6:

I can't believe how much of the Persimmon Collection I still have left.  I leave it in a milk glass container right on my work top.

Can I tell you that I almost bought the new Christmas collection from Basic Grey when I was at Impress over the weekend and remembered that I have so much of Persimmon left, I just couldn't justify it...waaaahhhhhh.  That's okay, I still ♥♥♥ the Persimmon Collection!

I hope that the Seize the Sketch challenge has inspired YOU!

whale done!

Hello & Happy Monday!

Still playing with the Basic Grey Persimmon Collection.  I'm pleased that it can rock the nautical theme, whaddya think?

I combined it with Reverse Confetti's Happy Harbor.  It's such a cute set, I'm still quite smitten with anything nautical.  One of these days, I'm going to have to break down and buy one of those notebook dies.  I tried to emulate it with my Crop-a-dile.

I found a package of those wood buttons that I picked up at Impress...threaded it through using some Timeless Twine natural twine.

By the way, Timeless Twine has all their spools on sale this week for $6/each!
