2018 Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day One #2

Hello Hello!  I'm back again with another project to share for the 2018 Fall  |  Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop!  Have you hopped around?  As I type up this post I have managed to get through all the Super Sponsors blog post and they are incredible!  So filled with gorgeous projects and so much inspiration!

My goal is to post at least 2 projects a day during the week of the hop.  Commenting takes up a huge portion of my free time so we'll see how things end up.

This project features the Paper Sweeties - Coffee Yes Please stamps + coordinating sweet cuts!

That frap drink was inspired by the new Starbucks holiday drinks HERE.

I wanted the drinks to pop!  Love their bold lines.

The gingham paper was in my stash by A Muse.

My card was inspired by the current Fusion Card Challenge:

A big thank you to Super Sponsor Paper Sweeties!

2018 Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Day One

Hello and Welcome to my blog!  We're celebrating Day One of the 2018 Fall | Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop!  New to the hop?  There are tons of Sponsors and inspiration.  Want a chance to win?  Link up a newly created Fall/Winter theme project that features coffee, tea and/or cocoa.  There are Sponsors and Hoppers that have linked up that are doing separate giveaways!

I'm your Hop Hostess and so happy that you're joining in the fun!  Whether you're hopping, linking or sponsoring, we appreciate you!  My friend Chaitali and I have a mutual addiction to coffee so when she asked if I'd like to be part of a blog hop to celebration National Coffee Day 2014, I said Yes!  The rest is history, there's now a:

Here's my first set of cards with hopefully more to come.  The logistics of running the hop is time consuming, as it gets larger there are more moving pieces so I have less time to design during this time.  It's all a labor of love, coffee + crafts make the world a happier place♥️

These cards feature Super Sponsor Right at Home's Cuppa Friendship stamp set:

I combined the images with the Echo Park Paper - Celebrate Winter collection, purchased from Super Sponsor The Cutting Cafe.

A fun clean + crisp design that compliments both the stamped images and the pattern paper!

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches:

Be on the lookout for a giveaway!

A big shout out to Super Sponsors:

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy hopping!

Scandinavian Trio | Pebbles, Inc

I'm knee deep in Coffee Lovers Blog Hop goodness but wanted to squeak in here with a quick card trio I designed:

I love the use of non-traditional colors for the holidays but this Cozy & Bright Collection by Pebbles, Inc is just too cute.  I absolutely love the Scandinavian design!

Bonus points that I was able to whip up a set of total postal friendly designs.  This base panel is absolutely glittery-goodness:

Yes, probably my favorite of the three is this one, that snowman mug and bird are so cute!

Are you kidding me?  Those sloths are pretty cute in their holiday jammies.

We're all gearing up for the upcoming hop and hope that you play along too:

Your Own Drum | My Favorite Things

How was your holiday weekend?  Mine was great, lots to eat and lots of running around.  Today is the start of my normal week after being off from work since last Tuesday.  I have two projects to share with you today, here's the first one featuring MFT - (retired) Strike up the band:

Those guys are so fun, aren't they?   Let's start from the bottom, I started off with a strip of cardstock from the Hero Arts Earth Mix Layering pack.  It's been topped off with a Double Wavy Stitch from the Die-namics Homespun Stitch Lines set.

The background has been blended with the three Distress Oxides pictured - Squeezed Lemonade  -  Antique Linen  + Fossilized Amber.  I finished it off with some specks from my black Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors,(retired) Hero Arts Gold Metallic Shimmer Spray + splatters of water.

I couldn't really capture the sheen of the gold, but it's pretty cool looking.  This started off because I was thinking of the University of Washington Huskies win over the Washington State University Cougars in the Apple Cup.  We're definitely a UW family (my dad, my brother, my girl + me, also need to mention various uncles + cousins too!).

I was inspired by the current MFT Sketch:

I loved Torico's card and how she tackled the sketch!

This was my original take of the sketch:

It's my first time inking up the now retired Winter Warmth set.  It's such a fun layering set, not sure why it took me so long to use it.

The sentiment is from the Hug in a Mug set.

My take one of the current MFT Sketch:

If you've been following me for any amount of time you know that I love the color green.  My second card was inspired by the Color Throwdown:

Fa La La La La La | Reverse Confetti

For my American friends, are you enjoying the holiday weekend?  I sure am!  Here's another holiday design to add to my stack.  Hopefully a majority of them will be going postal in the next week or so.  This card features Reverse Confetti products.

My card was inspired by my teamie Amy Rohl, THIS project caught my eye.  I combined the Holly confetti cuts and Vintage Ornaments stamps + coordinating confetti cuts.   For a bit of a different look, I filled in the white border on my ornament with black sharpie, giving it a full solid look.

The avocado panel has been stamped with pine tree sprigs from the Christmas Candles set.  I added the white berries as an afterthought and really love it, how about you?

Don't forget about the Reverse Confetti Black Friday Sale that is wrapping up today!

I was thoroughly inspired by The Card Concept 102:

My card falls into the Clean + Layered category.  I was inspired by the tree, the ornaments, the lights and I pulled in the gingham in my decorative plate ;)

You're a Winner | Lawn Fawn

I designed this especially for the kids' 11 year old cousin.  He's the youngest one in the bunch and well, it's been a while since I've had a 11 year old, like 10+ years.

Lawn Fawn to the rescue!  I thought the You're Claw-some set would be perfect for him.  It's a fun shaped card that is pretty petite.

Is it just me or does it remind you of Toy Story?  I spent many quality hours watching the original Toy Story because of the kids.

Christmas Coffee Trio | Lil' Inker Designs

So this is what happens when I start cleaning my craft room.  I found 1 sheet of this reversible (vintage) The Girls' Paperie - Tinsel & Twig.  It was literally torn but instead of finishing up my cleaning job, I started a card trio.

There's something about kraft, red + black.  Honestly, anything caffeinated is a good design (wink).  I used the Lil' Inker Designs Coffee Talk 2 die set and the sentiments are from the Oh Deer Christmas Stamp set.

The best part, they'll postal friendly!  No foam adhesive or bumps.

There's a bit of nordic feel don't you think?  Super clean + crisp.

I was inspired by the Paper Craft Crew card sketch:

Thankful | Echo Park Paper

To all my friends celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving!  I thought I'd squeeze in another Fall Themed card in honor of today.

The Echo Park Paper - Celebrate Autumn is so much fun.  Look at those cute woodland creatures.

I layered 2 panels of paper from the same collection and loaded it up with stickers!  Super postal friendly design.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches:

I rotated the sketch.

Thankful, that is me.  I consider myself fortunate everyday to have my awesome family and friends.  I'm so appreciative that our family is healthy, that includes my former mother-in-law that is 92 years old.  I'm grateful for the roof over our heads, I'm reminded about that when I go into work and see all the Seattle homeless.  So much to be thankful.

Cozy Wishes | SugarPea Designs

Happy Wednesday!  Amy Kolling inspired this card:

My girl has taken up knitting this year and has really created some gorgeous projects.  I'm thrilled that she's taken it up so quickly...scarves, hats, socks, sweaters...oh my.

I used the Knitwit stamps + SugarCuts.  The scalloped panel is from the Card Front Element Builder.  I used basic circle dies to create that quad window.  Love the Spots & Stripes Pastels Patterned Paper Collection.

That center panel has been cut from watercolor paper.  I mixed Faded Jeans +  Shaded Lilac.

There's a smide of Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist.  I topped it off with the (sadly retired) Hero Gold Ink Spray Metallic Shimmer.

I was inspired by the Mix It Up Challenge:
