feline batty | Poppystamps

Cutting it kind of close on these Halloween Cards that I hope to be posting this week.  I've had this adorable Poppystamps  Feline Spooky set, isn't it cute?

The stencil I used is Memory Box Starry Nights with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink.

The copics I used:

R0000
V01 | V12
N2 | N3
C6 | C8

The sentiment has been stamped on the Lawn Fawn Simple Wavy Banners Lawn Cuts.

The more the merrier

The other day, I met up with my friend Katie (& her sweet girl) at Impress.  We scored since they were having 40% off their Christmas inventory.  I picked up the cute Poppystamps Wintertime Bears set:

Chuckling...how can you stop at just one coffee?! The More the Merrier!  I did a quick watercoloring with my zigs...I like the messy look...and that bear is a mess!  I used the Memory Box Large Coffee On The Go.

I picked up a bunch of those gold glitter American Crafts card bases at J's awhile ago.  I actually cut them in half and adhere them to the top of a white cardbase, more bang for my buck that way (wink).

The polka dot panel?  It's one of our favorite Christmas wrapping papers that we picked up at Target.  Did you see Jingle Belles' first challenge of 2017?  It's:

No Time Like the *Presents*

we'd like to see holiday cards that include the image of an actual present... OR which include some upcycled giftwrap that you've used in place of (or in addition to) patterned paper.

I'm also playing along with the Poppy Challenge:  Silent Snowflakes:

Did you notice the Cosmo Cricket - Pixie Paint in Candy?  It highlights the snowflake background which is a retired MFT Cover-Up that I used an embossing pad with in my cuttlebug.

Well, today is back to work for me.  I've had a glorious holiday and ate way too much!  Here's a peek at my New Years Day celebration:

winter thanks.

You may have seen my Impress Haul picture the other day.  I have more holiday stamp sets this year than ever before, or so it seems.....

cardbase:  impress  stamps:  poppystamps you melt my heart, mama elephant cups of wishes  ink:  ranger archival black  other:  peerless watercolor, poppystamps you melt my heart dies

So one of the new stamp sets that I picked up at Impress is the new Poppystamps You Melt My Heart.  Gah, so cute!  I've been seeing the blue and purple color combo lately and thought I would give it a try with my Peerless Watercolors.

Evidently, I think I'm in a snowman kick...that's what it is and I couldn't resist the coffee mugs!  Here are the matching dies.

I couldn't believe that I found a sentiment small enough for that snowglobe base!

Isn't the card base fun?  It's by Impress and they're chalkboard.

life is good.

Hi ya.

Blogging live again.

I had one set of DT assignments that had a morning deadline..so they are completed...photog'd and scheduled to post!  Then I 'had' to take a nap...

I know I'm not alone when I say that I have a 'few' stamps that have never been inked:

I gotta refine my copic skillz.  I'm really not a copic girl.  There are times when I think I want to be but realistically, not my thing.  So I try to add other things to my card to distract you from her poor make up job, girl needs to learn how to apply her foundation:)

I love this Poppy Stamps girl...although it seems she's been discontinued.  I bought her solely for that sweet cupcake.  It almosts seems naughty to pop her under the Memory Box Garden Cloche but I think of her as a garden gnome toting a cupcake:)

I've been 'into' the glitter borders...psst...Daiso, the Japanese dollar store has stuff like Scor-Tape...{huge stampede to daiso now}..they sell it online but it looks like it is per box.  Daiso is where I stock up on Hi-Chew!  I, of course, finished my card off with a SRM sentiment.

A couple of things...

ch-ch-changes

Noticed any?

I have a new bloggie banner compliments of Karen Baker!

It's a declaration of my current love of hexagons!

Second thing.

Technie help?!

My side bar...oh where oh where does my side bar go?

It seems that in google chrome/safari mode, when you pop over to my blog via my 'home' page...my side bar doesn't show up.  Click onto a specific blog post and BAM it shows up...what.the.heck?

Anybody else experiencing this or have heard of anyone else complaining about it?

Third thing.

I've announced the winners on the Flashback Friday blog.  I've also announced that Flashback Friday is on Summer Vacation {wahoooo...I WISH I was on summer vacay}....taking off until the first Friday in September...we're going to come back with a POW!

I think that's it.

stack 'o goodness...

Check this stack out...

It's something that I worked on last weekend...a total of 24 thank you cards...4 ended up being for my own personal use but the other 20 were for a custom order. I tried to keep "USPS friendly" in mind...

My girl is my marketing manager...don't tell her I said that, she'll want to be compensated for it..LOL. Anyways, my ex-husband's girlfriend was writing up a list for thank you's and my girl reminded her about the wonderful "Tsuruta Designs"...funny huh?!

So here's what I came up with:

First up is one that the boy helped me with...I stamped the sweet Poppy Stamps dog and SU sentiment and the boy colored in each pup differently:) I tell you, he is getting good with the copics!

Next is a clean & crisp thank you using metal from J's... which also satisfies today's 365 Cards Challenge...metal mania!

I know that the fabbie Lauren will love these Sassy Monsta's...it is my daughter's design...she did all the fussy cutting of the monsta's...I put it together...I had to highlight this particular monsta as my daughter is the black high top Converse wearing gal:)

One of my favorite A Muse images is that sweet bird...I 'filled in the bird bath' with my quickie glue pen and SU Dazzling Diamonds...

Who can resist the Hero Arts Frog??!!!

These ended up staying home with me...I meant for them to be the ex's gf's daughter but was told "she isn't a girlie girl"....but good grief, I used MM blooms, buttons and hello?! May Arts Ribbon {thanks elaine!!}. Everything works out for the best because I love these 'lil scraplings...

I'm thankful for my kidlets help...I do know something, I love to create to create, kwim? I'm not much of a custom order kind of gal...I was reminded of that as I was thinking of all the other stuff that I "should" be doing {DT work....Pub Calls....Laundry...LOL}. Oh well, I stamped and created...it is all good and therapeutic:)

Come on back tomorrow...it's my day on the 365 Cards blog and Pam 'almost' had me stumped...muwahahahaha....

poppy

Happy Sunday!!!

Welcome to 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday!!!

Pam initially had me absolutely stumped with her fancy smancy sketch. I ended up jumping in with both feet and came up with this "poppy" card....why poppy? I recently discovered the oh-so-sweet images by Poppy Stamps. It is a venture by Memory Box, a local Washingtonian company. I used Pink Paislee to paper piece the darling "peggy polka dot". I stamped peggy on a fabriano scrap and then finished off the oval scallop with dots using my Marvy Twinklette pen.

I can't wait to see your take on today's sketch!

Although it may not have seemed like it...I was out there in blogland last week...mostly lurking...why just lurking??

The kids and I were in fabulous Hawaii!!!!

Yes, we were there when there were threats of tropical storms...no, we didn't have any but sheesh it was humid. Most of the time there was constant drizzling which we actually thought was quite refreshing :) Thanks to my friend "I" who took some days off from work to play with us!!! We actually travelled with my friend "J" and her boy. The kids have known each other since they were literally babies and get along well.

I was hoping to meet up with some of the Hawaiian bloggers but when we weren't walking, touring or doing something else I was napping...I blame the humidity..LOL. Hey, it's vaca...

Anyways, I'll be back in full blogging mode tomorrow...I've missed you all!!
