I have been neglecting my Cosmo Cricket so I decided to use some of the Boyfriend line..

I recently received the Schlosser Designs Hey Cupcake set!

I added Stampin' Up twill, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type, Want2Scrap pearls and a sweet heart shaped A Muse Creative Candy...

I was inspired by the 2S4Y #57:

Along with my Schlosser Hey Cupcake set, I received this oh-so-sweet RAK from the fabbie Erin Schlosser...I know....check out my new water drinking glass that I'll have at work...I LOVE it Erin...thank you!!!!! I had the pleasure of meeting Erin at the Winter CHA 2010...such a sweetie!

The picture was taken back in February 2010 when we went on a cruise with my whole family. It was in celebration of my Momma's 70th birthday...

make a wish...

Hi ya!

I have a couple cards to share with you today...first up is this one:

I used a little of this and a little of that:) Stamps are Practicing Creativity and Lawn Fawn...paper/border scallop is Echo Park...SRM sentiment and Kaiser bling....

I was inspired by FTL 100!!!!

It is also for Paige's challenge over on the Cards Blog for Cards with Kites Challenge. It was super fun to see my It's your Day card with the pinwheels highlighted over there:)

I also squeezed in some time to make another card using my Pebbles paper and an EAD vinyl rub on...

Here's a close fun are those yellow clouds? Gotta love the EAD Sentiments Vinyl rub on in BROWN....

I was inspired by CPS177:

GREAT many ways to be inspired by it!

My thoughts on roadtrips with 3 teenagers....My 2 + a friend...

1. Can you believe all 3 kids packed rolling luggage for 2 nights? If you were wondering, no I didn't ...

2. Technology abounds:

4 cell phones
4 laptops
3 cameras
3 portable DVD players
4 iPods

3. There are definitely not enough 'rest stops' inbetween my home and Manzanita...this girl had to venture into a porta-potty...can you say ick?!

4. I'm definitely spoiled by the number of Starbucks I'm surrounded by and darn it...there weren't enough of those...didn't get to stop at one...grrr....

5. Renting a house close to the beach is soo totally worth the $$...

6. Next time I'm buying real creamer for my coffee...I was trying to be 'good' and picked up the soy creamer which I use to use but have definitely lost the taste of it...not sweet enough for me...

7. Having to wash the towels/sheets/dishes before we left, stinks....

8. We didn't have enough room for a cooler...see we 'had' to finish our Ben & Jerry's @ 11 a.m. on Wednesday....I hate to waste things like that:)

I had a great time with the kids...I'll have to wait for the boy to share his pics off of his new fancy smancy camera:)

I'm finally caught up on my Google Reader...woot woot...internet was spotty & sometimes very painful while I was on vaca so I'll be a'commenting from today:)

Okay...have a super Thursday!
I'll be back tomorrow with my Cardabilities July 30th won't want to miss the fabbie sketch!

Hey There!

It's me again...making a scene...or a scenery card:)

It is soo fun putting these together!!! I love the movement of the wavy paper....perfect for the sweet bicycle to ride on:) Did you notice the pink stitching? :)

Just a fun summery card!

Wanted to share a quick pic....the kids and I have actually been on vaca the last couple of days...

Here's a pic of me and the boy...the girl took it:) We took our adopted vaca friend's daughter...she came with us last year when it went to the San Juan Islands...this time it was Manzanita Beach in Oregon....gorgeous...sunny...and windy:)

Thanks for stoppin' by...

be yourself...

Hi ya...

It's me again with another layout...this time of the boy. If you saw my post from yesterday you would have seen the girl's picture from last year...this is the boy's from last year.

He was so cute, when he saw me working on this layout he said, "Oh good, my turn."...LOL...that's because he just saw the one of his sister...

The base of the layout is Stampin' Up Kraft, everything else is American Crafts....

I fussy cut the stars to use them as another type of a banner:) Each of the stars are on a glue dot for some 'umph'.

My boy is getting this annual pic taken this saturday...he looks so different...'they' cut his hair...or I should say 'shaved' his head...'they' as his father and sister....shaking my head...I don't know how many times I need to tell them that peeps go to school for that...grrrr...but looking on the positive side, the boy DOES have the sweetest face and with his military style haircut, it does bring that out....

Okie Dokie Peeps...have a fabulous Tuesday!

Happy Monday!!!!

I have a couple projects to share with you today...I've been into making "scenery projects"....and decided to alter a DVD tin:

Pssst....Bo Bunny has me diggin' on purple these days....their Sun Kissed line is absolutely a-stinkin-a-dorable! The SRM {hello} is simply perfect for this project!

This is the interior of the tin....I love note pads...have them all over the place since my memory is horrendous...I have to admit that I tend to write notes on my hand too..LOL The Green area is actually a pocket to put in receipts etc:)

Next up is a layout of my girl...the picture is actually from last year...ever since the kidlets were born, they get their pics professionally taken every year...

The girl is really into purple these days so the Bo Bunny Peacock Lane is perfect for her...I fussy cut the tree image and smacked it on top of the purple patterned paper, I love the contrast. The polka dot strip has been stitched down to the blue panel. I teamed it up with some Thickers Vinyl and do you see the purple pearls...perfect match ala Queen & Co...I bought a gazillion of them in all different colors at Scrap Expo!

My layout is inspired by a July 2010 Page Maps:

Here's to a fabbie week!!!!

P.S. I wanted to do a shout out for my fellow 365 Cards Design Team buddie Gloria. She has suffered a terrible loss and I want her to know that I'm thinking of her and I'm sending tons of good ju-ju her way....

I managed some 'whimsical' stitching and topped off the card with a black ZVA flourish...

I tell you, I adore the Homespun chic line...soooo fun and full of motivational {& funny} sayings...Did you know that there is a Brave Girls site? I HIGHLY recommend signing up for the Daily is one of my favorites:

Just a speedy quick's a card that I submitted for the Paper Crafts magazine call this didn't get picked up but that's okay, I get to share it with you all today!

it's your day...

Hello Hello!

I had a ball making today's card...

I was absolutely inspired by the fabbie 2s4y sketch by Kazan:

It's fun times over at 2s4y...they are on week #2 on trying to find a new Design Team pressure...but , I had a ton of fun creating this even though my work top was 'gritty'...sigh..little elves were using my supplies and there seemed to be an abundance of embossing powder and glitter all over the place...deep breath...deep breath....

I teamed up the sketch challenge with Paige's challenge over on the Cards Blog to use Pinwheels....great timing as Laura of 2s4y just posted a tut over on her blog:)

This also works for the super Jenny's challenge #14 over on her blog, wee Memories, Summer Fun!

I knew that I wanted that Bo Bunny Sunkissed {sun} paper to shine....actually all the paper I used is Bo Bunny....pearls by want2scrap and straws by ikea:) The "it's your day" is EAD Designs from their Stickerz Birthday Sentiments. Good grief, I love fun & bright cards...

♥♥rak alert♥♥

Check out my latest happy mail....a girl ALWAYS loves her happy mail....

Holey smokes this put a ginormous smile on my face...Elizabeth...You rock girl!!!! I can't get over how much stuff you sent over to me......woot woot!!!!!

Hello and Welcome to Whimsy Haven Wednesday!

We aren't having our regular blog hop today but I did want to share a Whimsy card with you....

I love that Lindsay is a fan of quotes because I am too:

Isn't it a fabbie one? I'm a true believer of things happening for a might not realize it at the time but there is some 'good' that comes out of everything...I've been there, done that...anywho's....this sentiment actually part of a set called Miracle Butterfly:

I really wanted to use my Jenni Bowlin papers with the the color combo in this particular set....I was inspired by Card Patterns Sketch 73:

Just a reminder that even though we aren't doing the Whimsy Haven Blog Hops during the summer, the shop is still open:)

Thanks for stoppin' by!!!

I haven't scrapped for a while because of the weather...I blame the heat:) It's easy smeasy to slap together a is a smaller canvas...but a 12 x 12 layout requires so much more thought

I actually stumbled across this wonderful sketch on
Sweet Peach Crop Shop's blog:
I routed it over to my bloggie buddie Sherry for a friendly challenge...make sure you pop over to her blog to see her inspiration from the sketch...I love her summery take.

Here's mine:

I absolutely LOVE this pic of me and the was taken back in 2008...they have changed sooo much since then...

All the paper is Pink Paislee's Queen Bee...Oh my goodness I love that stuff....I found that it actually coordinates with some of the K&Co Blue Awning line...that's where the chippies are from...the bling is Prima and the bloom is from Sherry! Perfect opportunity for me to de-hoard one of the several blooms I had commissioned her to make me:)

Check it out...I even used some of the Pink Paislee Artisian Tape...Each panel has been stitched and then the round panel is mega stitched around the circle about 4 times...

What really drew me to the sketch were the them...can't get enough of them...I teamed them up with buttons and bling....

This is such a wonderful sketch to work with...I was surpised at all the elements that eventually went into the layout...definitely one of my more time consuming layouts that I've accomplished...

Wanna see something fun....a 'blast from the past' kind of thing? Yvonne was oh-so-sweet and created a project last year using the very same pic that I used in today's layout...check it out here:

Thanks soo much for taking a peek and you scrappers out there that make bumpy pages...what albums do you like?!!!

Hey There!

Had some fun with some
Schlosser Designs stamps!

Decided to play with Furnishing Fun:

I just adore the chair....

All the patterned paper is Pink Paislee's Queen Bee...the lace is from J's bargain bin...I tend to heat emboss the gives it a more defined look...

I was inspired by the current OCC sketch:

I also played along with the gals over at CAS-tastic...Keeping it SIMPLE:

Stamped {check}

Inked {check}

Paper Pieced {pass}

Lace {check}

Emboss {check}

You had to use at least 3 of the elements, I used 4.

Did you see who the new 2S4Y girl is?!!! It's my bloggie buddie Angie!!! Woot Woot girlie!!! I couldn't have been more happy for her...she's a fabbie sista...I was thrilled to see my card made it to the Fab 10...pretty exciting since there were 150 entries:)

♥♥kid alert♥♥

I wanted to share the card that my girl made my boy for his birthday....

It looks like a fairly CAS design but if you look more closely and you're an A Muse'll see that she isn't as lazy as her Momma:) She fussy cut the scallop frame....inserted the A Muse Tiny bird on the left...the bird on the right has been hijacked from the A Muse Birds on a Wire image that she carefully inked up with a marker...she drew her own party hat, the branch, the thought bubble AND wrote up the sentiment by herself....She topped off the card with her very own come on...that'd make every crafty Momma proud...and youbetcha...I'm big time proud:) Stuff like this makes me embarassingly misty...

Here's to a fabbie week!

heartfelt thanks..

Hello, Hello!

I'm back for another fun week at 365 Cards

Our sponsor this week is:

Lauretta's Digital Stamps

Here is today's sketch...

I know...that's what I said...I initially didn't know what to do with the zig zag lines...then I had an aha moment...

Do you see the zig zag? My trusty Janome to the rescue!!!!! A couple of summers ago I bought a "Grandma's sewing basket" for $ has been an absolutely gold mine....isn't that blue thread just perfect? It is on a wooden spool...a wooden spool peeps...pretty coolio...

The card base is PTI Orange Zest...the pattern paper is Sassafras...the bling is Want2Scrap and the image I used is Lauretta's rainbow. I used a bunch of different copics to color...decided to not paper piece this time around...The sentiment is a SRM stickers...they rock:) It's another Clean & Simple design, perfect for SRM's current Clean & Simple Challenge.

Soooooo...come on me what you got and join us in the 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday Challenge!
