Paper Made Bakery: Old School

Can you believe it is the last day of September?

Where have the weeks gone?

Even though the Paper Made Bakery

Old School Kit

is sold out....

I wanted to do a re-cap of the projects I designed with this fun kit!

First up is an altered note pad:

Definitely a fun gift to give because who doesn't need note paper?  Okay, perhaps you're one of those people that jot your lists/notes in your phone, and I have been doing that with my grocery lists but there are times when good old fashioned pen and paper are thee best!

I used what is probably my most fav paper out of the Cosmo Cricket 2WENTY-THR3E...love the pops of Pink!

This next project was inspired by Valerie...

Everything is from the kit except the pearl and the Resin Flower {that's actually from the August kit!}...I need to use that PTI doily die more often...love the details...hate the mess.

Clean and Crisp seems to be my go-to style...

Come to think of it...I believe the stitching through the alphas is something that I picked up from Valerie too!  I tell you, she's one gal that is chock full of talent...how can you NOT be inspired by her!

I like to throw in non-card projects and those that know me know that I love mason jars:

They are a perfect gift vessel..add a kitchen towel, a tag and bam, you're done....P.S. notice the use of the butterfly negative from the pocket card above.

This is the latest project using the Old School kit:

Such an unexpected color combo...

Grey & Mustard

Love the elegance.

So there you have it....Get ready for the new kit hop!

I'm a huge fan of the pillow box and the use of non-traditional colors for holidays.

The belly band is Echo Park, the polaroid is Dear Lizzy.

I managed to stuff 3 of those squares into the pillow box...definitely my FAV Ghirardelli's.

I used 2 different EAD Stickerz sets:

and

Can I share a Halloween story?  One of my favorite costumes was when the boy was dressed up as Elvis....my good friend that is a scientist and a whipper snapper with the sewing machine took a set of white sweats and made them scream elvis....complete with the stand up collar and flaired legs...hilarious!  The boy walked around with a karaoke machine that was playing Elvis' greatest hits.  I gotta dig up that pic and share!

Okay, now hippety hop over to Jenn's blog:

Let's Get Trendy Now: Day 1!

Today is when the fun STARTS!!!!!

Today we just might be starting with a some tape...
Washi (和紙) is a style of paper that was first made in Japan. Washi is commonly made using fibers from the bark of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub (Edgeworthia chrysantha), or the paper mulberry, but also can be made using bamboo, hemp, rice, and wheat. Washi comes from wa meaning Japanese and shi meaning paper, and the term is used to describe paper made by hand in the traditional manner.

all you need is love.

Hi Guys.

This has been a good weekend. I took Friday off from work and was able to get a bunch of errand-y stuff done that day.  I felt like such a good momma, made both the kids breakfast, French Toast and bacon that morning!  A girl could get use to having a leisurely morning like that.

Saturday I was signed up for a Paper Party in Seattle but didn't make it since I slept in until 7 am....7 am?!  That's like unheard of for me...I typically wake up at 3 or 4 am.

So today I'll spend the day crafting and getting prepped for my Garage Sale that I'll have on Saturday, October 6th....all to save up funds for one of these puppies....or whatever version you gals recommend.

I have a skinny card to share:  3.25 x 5.5

Dontcha love those Studio Calico Potty People?  The camera die cut is some kind of wonderful too...it's on texture-y paper....the sentiment is SRM that I had from my stash.

Ingredients are compliments of the Paper Issues FITkit

I've been having so much fun playing with this kit...never-ending fun I tell ya!

Want $5 off the kit?

Use Amy12 to get 20% off!

My card was inspired by the lastest CASology

Pssstttt...a new challenge hits Paper Issues today!!

This is definitely a bittersweet post for me.  It is my last blog hop with The Craft's Meow.  I've decided to step down from the Team at the end of the month.  I'm currently on 7 active Design Teams and my full time job is incredibly busy for me so unfortunately I have to change things up.  I'll also be stepping down from a couple other teams in the near future...I'll definitely miss the TCM Family, I've been on the team from the early days.  I've enjoyed creating with every single set that TCM has designed and will always be a BIG fan!

Now hop on over to my super fantastic teamie, Aimes
