❅❅ Merry Monday: 'tis the season ❅❅

Happy Monday!

The month is quickly racing by, don't you think?

We're up to Merry Monday #59!

Check out the sketch:

Ovals challenge me.  I was set to go 'old school' and use my Coluzzle since I have the oval template.  Um, where is my Coluzzle knife...gah, not good because I lost the cap a long time ago.  I'm still on the hunt for that thing but in the meantime Spellbinders to the rescue!

The patterned paper is Martha (thanks Cali Ivy!).  Can you see the 'merry' in the middle of the red ornament?  For the smaller ornament I used a dictionary page, yes, I tried to include as much of the merry definition as I could.

I tried to capture a shot of the card so you could see the frosted acetate base.  I love the look but it is a pill to photog.

I am building quite the collection of wood veneers so I'm trying to use them on a regular basis.  This one happens to have a SRM sticker on it.

Make sure you check out the talented ladies over at Merry Monday:

A big shout out to Lesley and the Merry Monday Design Team for having me this month!  I truly enjoyed myself!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

♡♡ Avocado Arts: Just for you ♡♡

Super Exciting News!

I've been asked to join the FABulous designers on the Avocado Arts Pit Crew!

To say that I'm excited is an understatement, this team is a powerhouse of talent and truly fabulous people!

I decided to 'whip up' a card for this fabulous news!

I used April's New Release, Perfectly Planted...

along with

I did some simple masking on my card and the panel that is the dirt is actually upcycled packaging...love the shade of kraft.

I recently 'tried' to put together an IRL simple terrarium and it was an epic fail.  The fern turned black, gah, I'm unfortunately, a black thumb.

My card was inspired by the newest retro sketch:

I'd love it if you'd pop by Avocado Arts and leave me some of that fabulous bloggie love!  There will also be some fun May Release sneak peeks!!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!!!!

cardbase:  frosted acetate
cardstock:  Stampin' Up So Saffron
ink:  memento rich cocoa, Impress Fresh Inks mango/chamomile & celery
other:  Lifestyle embossing folder, Timeless Twine Pumpkin Orange, neat & tangled sequins

✤✤ Fusion #4: i appreciate you ✤✤

We're up to Fusion #4!

I've been really inspired checking on everyone's blogs that link up for the Fusion Challenges!  Keep up all the great work!

I'm on Lesley's Team!

I love the inspiration...floral and color....doesn't get much better than that!

Digging around in my stash, I came up with this:

The paper is Sassafras and the sentiment is Hero Arts.

My overall design was thoroughly inspired by THIS spectacular card that I pinned of Gayatri's.  Isn't her card simply stunning?!  The design was perfect for me since I literally had scraps of that floral paper.  The card has been trimmed down to 3.5 inches wide to accomodate what I had to work with.

Make sure you pop over to the Fusion blog so you can find out who our spectacular guest designers are!!!!!

Hello!

Merry Monday is taking the week off so I decided to go ahead and show this card that posted a couple weeks ago over on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog:

I've been a huge fan of wood supplies and love the look of this multi-colored stamping on a wood card!

The Subway series is perfect for it!

All the inks I used are Impress Fresh Inks.  They are perfect for that media since they literally stay on top and don't run/bleed.

Super Sponsor: Elle’s Studio
Theme: Serendipity

Kismet

I am so lovin' the new Elle's Studio Serendipity Collection:

The photo was taken last year, on my birthday by one of the kids.

I do truly feel that I'm a lucky girl to have met Darin.

Let's be honest, dating in your 40's when you have kids is pretty challenging.  I hit the ♥♥jackpot♥♥ with Darin.  He's kind, supportive, calm...the calmness always comes in handy when I'm freaking out about something.

All the paper elements are Elle's Studio.  I ran the shipping tag through my printer with the serendipity definition.

The scallop trim on the top is the 'tab' on one of the 12x12 sheets I had to work with.

The triangularly flag was preprinted via Elle's Studio, the rest of the sentiments are various SRM stickers.

Since the sentiments are all going the one direction, I had to 'fix' the {XOXO} tag.  Originally it came with a 2 printed on the bottom...well, it was going the opposite direction of everything else so I trimmed the floral pattern from some Elle's packaging and then layered the 'pure joy' cut out too.

I wanted to bring out the pink so decided to stitch all the flags/tags down to the shipping tag.

Next up on the hop is  Audrey of Audrey's Reflection.

✦✦✦ make a wish ✦✦✦

Hello, again.

I decided to double post today since one of the challenges this card is for is closing soon.  Don't forget to check out my post over at Paper Made Bakery!

Well, I inked up a neglected Paper Smooches set, Hot Concoctions.  I knew I wanted to use that in today's card along with the polkas from the Fresh Squeezed Stamps, You Said It, Sister.

Here's a little secret, I hadn't even used the PTI Think Big Favorites set, ever.  I decided to emboss it in white zing.

I was inspired by the latest Tuesday Trigger:

I was drawn to the:

color
coffee theme
polkas

I'm also linking up over at Annette's Link Up Party!

The very fun Annette is celebrating her Birthday and her Anniversary this month and she's throwing a party!  There's still time to party with her!!!!

❀❀ Fusion #3: hello ❀❀

...and we're back with more Fusion fun!

Thanks to all that played along with Fusion #2!

Here's the newest:

I'm on Lesley's team!

Here's how I was inspired:

I used the Flower Border card from the silhouette store.

2 words

patience grasshopper

I did this cut file about 4 times before I was happy with the results.  I know I need to just go buy some thin cardstock.

It was worth the time though, I love the contrast and pop of color.

I was inspired by:

1.  the colors
2.  the flowers

The chippie is American Crafts and the colored paper is Basic Grey.

Sadly, Fusion Scientist, Kay will not be experimenting with us.  I love her wonderful style and will continue to follow her crafty goodness!  We wish her much crafty happiness!  On a happy note, we have Stacey joining the Fusion Scientists!!!!

Make sure you pop over to the Fusion blog so you can find out who our spectacular guest designers are!!!!!

★★ you're future is bright ★★

Happy Friday Eve!

Here's a quick card I made for my girl:

Most of the supplies are from the current Studio Calico card kit.  The tape is K&Co/Smash book.

I was inspired by the current retro sketch:

Thanks for poppin' by!
