inspired by...

Just like everyone else, I'm in love with foxes and Lawn Fawn's fox is well, over the top CUTE:

How can anyone resist that cutie pie?

The into the woods set oozes cuteness:

I made this especially for the CAS-ology challenge:

It's been on my "to-do" list so I linked up yesterday via my flickr:)

Do you know what else inspired my card?  This awesome one by Wida!

I love being inspired by others...thanks Wida♥♥♥

you are beary special

Hey, have you heard about the card drive for grayson?

Can I tell you that I read grayson's blog, written by his mother,  Jackie, and was literally sobbing.

Oy

So I set off to make a card for grayson:

I wanted to add fun foam to the card because the more texture the better for a little one.  It's awfully bright, eh?!  That's okay, it's eye catching:)

I managed to use 3 neat & tangled sets:

The interior of the card is stamped with

you are beary special

I'd love for you to send grayson and/or his family a card.

The linky will remain open until Saturday, October 12th @ 11:55 pm pacific.

retro sketch: J'aime

Howdy!

Bloggin' live because that's how I'm rollin' today.  I'm allotting myself the morning to be crafty then after lunch, onward to the unpacking.  My goal is get the kitchen/dining room unpacked and set up.  It's stressful to walk into almost every single area and be surrounded by boxes.

Anywho's....crafting is such a fabulous therapeutic release for me and then when you add coffee themed crafting, I'm all good:

My goal is to start using my September Studio Calico kit and combine it with highly neglected supplies.  So everything on this card is from the kit with the exception of the java stamp.  I bought a handful of Verve coffee themed stamps and well, they need some stampy love.

I was thoroughly inspired by the current retro sketch:

pssttt...I spotted the sketch on Laurie's blog.  You're going to LOVE her card!

I shared this on FB this morning:

...the realities of combining households.

I know, I need to buy another Memento Tuxedo Black to even things up:)

thankful for you

edited to add this new card:
(the original card is just not hitting me)

I used PTI lemon tart for the base and Fresh Ink Provincial Gray and Pink Lemonade.

There seems to be some type of clash between my iPhoto and the internet because my pics are just post posting as they look in iPhoto.

I used neat & tangled's

Not quite sure but I pretty much struggled with the photog on this card.  It's actually the 2nd version.  The first version was all white and I just could not get a good shot of it.

I was inspired by the current Fusion Challenge:

(although it doesn't look like it, the washi is a grey striped)

along with the current little tangles challenge:

Happy Birthday!

Hello!

I enjoyed the process of designing this card since it's been well over a week since I've had the opportunity to get crafty!

See that pink Happy Birthday layer?  I bought a package of them at Paper Source.  They are letterpress panels and perfect for layering on cards.

All the patterned paper is older Crate, Peppermint & Paper Heart.  I stamped the Paper Smooches sentiment from, Sentiment Sampler, in Fresh Ink Provincial Gray so it wouldn't take away from the overall design of the card.

That Coffee Cup Stamp (yes, I must have a bazillion) is from Impress.

I wanted to use my enamel dots but can't seem to find them...you should see how many boxes I'm surrounded by, seriously.  The Freckled Fawn sweet heart veneers were a perfect substitution!

I was inspired by the latest Seize The Sketch:

garage sale update!

Happy Sunday!

Taking a smidge of quiet time this morning to give you a quick update on the garage sale we had this weekend.

There were 3 of us on Friday...big shout out to Novell & Katie for making the trek out to me.  On Saturday we added the stuff from another crafter.

We managed to make some money but really, more importantly, we got rid of some of stuff which went to great homes.

A big High Five to Kimberly who came out to shop and chat!

Even though we lucked out in weather for both days, Friday was much busier for us than Saturday.  I only do garage sales from 9 am - 1 pm because it really is thoroughly exhausting for me.

***

Directly after the sale I picked up my boy, then a friend of the boy and the girl and we went out to the University of Washington to visit the girl in her new nest.

There are a handful of other bloggers that are going through the same thing that I am with their kids.

Can I tell you how proud I am?

I'm so thankful for this awesome journey that my girl is going on.  She has worked her tail off and I just know that it will all pay off for her in so many ways.  I've been so strong about 'letting her go' but, quite frankly, as I write up this post, ugh, the water works.

I love this girl, TONS.

Upcycled: happy birthday

Hello!

Yvonne Yam invited me to be a guestie over on the Lessology blog.   They are celebrating their 2nd birthday with a fun challenge:

Remember, you can submit any project you want as long as it includes at least one upcycled item. Please indicate what it is in your post and include a link to the challenge so that your bloggy pals can play along too!

Last week I gave you a little sneak of this:

You know, this is part of the packaging for a paper pack.  I use those inserts and upcycle them in my crafting!

Yup, that jar has been stamped on that panel and I managed to use 3 different stamp sets!

and...that twine was upcycled from packaging!

Little Tangles: color trio

Hello!

A new challenge is up on the Little Tangles blog!

Such a pretty color trio, don't you agree?

Here's how it inspired me:

I love to use a softer color for the sentiment...it makes the other images POP but you still get the overall theme of the card.

Seriously, every girl needs this set:

and yes, here I am using this one again

(can you blame me? it rocks)

Make sure you check out the Little Tangles blog for more inspiration!

You'll love what my teamies have designed!

Seize the Sketch: thank you.

We're back with a new challenge over on Seize the Sketch:

To learn more about our guidelines, please click HERE.

This is my wonderful teamie, Stacey's sketch!

Clearly Digi Stamps (formerly known as Clear Dollar Stamps) is our sponsor!

The winner of the challenge will receive a prize package of digital images from the CdS Shop!

Here's how I was inspired:

I used Crate Paper/Maggie Holmes.  Love those Jillibean wood sentiment flags.  I finally used the PTI bloom dies that came with my last order.  For added texture, I popped the Little Yellow Bicycle Burlap circles as the bloom centers.  The leaves?  Washi paper that I laid over the same grid paper in the bloom so you can faintly see the lines....

Be sure to check out the Seize the Sketch blog to see how my teamies were inspired!

Timeless Twine: Autumn Splendor

Happy Saturday!!

Timeless Twine is doing a special release today:

The spool is on sale TODAY only for $7!

Fall is my FAV season!

I teamed up the Autumn Splendor with the Bella

Perfect timing because I gave this to a friend last night for her birthday:

I used the bag as an envelope.

All the paper & embellishments are by Basic Grey, Persimmon line...perfect Fall Collection:

That Autumn card is veneer!

Doesn't the Autumn Splendor blend nicely with the fall colors?  The gold rub on sentiment is from the September Studio Calico Card kit.

Make sure you pop over to the Timeless Twine blog to see what some of my other teamies designed with Autumn Splendor.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!
